“Demon House”

Jay and Elke Yaple have been waging a ceaseless war against the unseen forces occupying their two hundred year old home.

One night Elke heard these words come over here baby monitor: “You are all going to die!” Soon after, the Yaples heard a loud crash come from their children’s bedroom. When they ran into the room they found bloody handprints on the baby’s crib. Incredibly, there were no signs of blood anywhere on the children.

Jay and Elke contacted CT Paranormal, who work closely with Father Bob Bailey, a priest and veteran demonologist. When they came to do an investigation Elke’s older dog, Mandy, went into convulsions — seemingly possessed. Father Bob ran over to the dog and began praying over it. The dog ceased shaking and returned back to normal as the prayers finished.

Father Bob then took on the entity, battling it with religion attempting to banish it from the home.

“Leave House”

When Laura Satterfield’s dogs were being frightened by something in her new house, the last thing she thought it could be was the spirit of someone who may have once lived in her home. But after Laura and her daughter were terrified by the apparition of a man in a military uniform, they became convinced there was something paranormal and evil in her house.

Fearing for her family, Laura sought help from a paranormal team who capture what they believe is a video of an actual ghost. Soon after, Laura and a team member are inexplicably burned on their backs, and they suspect it is this ghost trying to hurt them.

“The Door”

When Laza Denison and her daughters move into their new home, they are thrilled by its size and beauty. Their excitement quickly fades when they are terrorized by an unseen entity determined to run them out of the house. After their dog is kicked clear across the room by this invisible force, the family calls in a paranormal team to help them deal with their problem. What the team discovers convinces Laza that her house is indeed haunted and her family is in serious danger.

Not far from the Denison home, another family lives in fear that paranormal activity is killing all the animals on their farm.

Ghost Lab Returns For Season Two

The Klinge brothers announce the return of an all NEW Ghost Lab this fall on Discovery.

Your Cable Is Haunted

Wednesday, January 6th, 2010

Spirits abound on “Ghost Hunters” (Syfy), “Paranormal State” (A&E), “Ghost Lab” (Discovery) and “Ghost
Adventures” (Travel Channel).

By Susan King

Ryan Buell Your Cable is Haunted article

Ryan Buell founded the Paranormal Research Society as a student.

Vampires may be getting all the glory these days, but when it comes to day-in, day-out spooky family entertainment, it’s hard to beat ghosts.

The popularity of ghost and paranormal stories are nothing new — from the King’s ghost in Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” to Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” to the phenomenal box office last fall for “Paranormal Activity.”

But it’s on the small screen that ghosts are most alive — a staple of the medium, so to speak. The first two hours of CBS’ Friday night lineup are devoted to “Ghost Whisperer,” now in its fifth season, and “Medium,” which joined the network last fall after five seasons on NBC. Both dramatic series revolve around women who can see dead people.

Several of the cable networks have built their lineups around ghost/paranormal reality shows. These series follow investigators going to residential homes, historical locations, abandoned hospitals, prisons and even aircraft carriers that are supposedly haunted. They claim to use scientific methods and equipment, such as digital tape recorders to capture EVPs (electronic voice phenomena), which are believed to capture the voices of spirits.

Thanks in part to the success of these shows, ghost hunting has become a big business. Several Internet sites including Amazon offer equipment for sale for the budding paranormal investigator.

Ghost Lab’s Klinge Brothers on Larry King

Ghost Lab – Under the Skin

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

MEDIUM LYNNE OLSON REFLECTS ON THE EPISODE.

Ghost Lab Under the skin tatoo

Chicago’s Old Town Tatu occupies space that operated as Klemundt Funeral Parlor for 75 years. In 2003 Richie “Tapeworm” Herrea bought the place and opened as Odin Tatu named after his son. He lived in an apartment above the tattoo parlor. Sadly he died in that apartment in 2006 of congestive heart failure. Some of his friends and former employees banded together to reopen the shop.

It is commonly believed that although Richie died he never left his beloved shop and home. Throw in the fact of the buildings prior history and even before his death, Richie had paranormal experiences on the premises. In his upstairs apartment a wooden door that led off his living room had a habit of opening and closing over and over, by itself. Downstairs in the tattoo parlor Richie’s keys would move around on him.  The door leading to the kitchen was also in the habit of repeatedly opening and closing itself.

Once Richie had a run in with a previous occupant of the funeral home.  Richie was upstairs and saw an elderly man in a brown wool suit. The man proceeded to throw Richie down the stairs. Infuriated Richie bellowed, who do you think you are? The only response he got was the name Walter.

In life Richie worked from chair three in the tattoo parlor. After his death his friends would bring in new tattoo artists to work chair three, but none of the equipment would work. When the new management put in artists who had known and worked with Richie the equipment went back to functioning. This happened repeatedly. Richie seems to be picky about who uses his chair!

Psychic Medium Lynne Olson Reviews Ghost Lab Tombstone Episode

Ghost Lab got some interesting results when they investigated Tombstone, Arizona. Not surprisingly their first investigation was the Birdcage Theatre. Ghost Lab had some different results than Ghost Adventures when they focused on the Birdcage Theatre earlier this year.

Birdcage employee and barkeep Nova showed the Klinge brothers and their team around the theatre. She reviewed the well known claims of disembodied voices, unexplained sound, phantom music and laughter.

Brad and Barry thought they might have seen a shadow moving but debunked it as how the wall the shadow appeared against was painted.

During their first EVP session the Klinge brothers were in the Birdcage ballroom. They smelled cigar smoke near an old gaming table and caught a class A EVP saying, “choose”. I had the impression that EVP was an imprint from a long past heated card game where someone loosing was dithering over their cards too long to suit one of the other men at the table.

The second EVP session resulted in a lot of static, similar to that you would hear on a wonky PA system. Everyday Paranormal didn’t pick up any EVP’s but I heard a pattern in the static that had a voice in it. What I heard in the static was, “Move on. Now.” over and over.

Nova was in the back room sleeping and the Klinge boys woke her up. She was positive that there was no electricity supplied to the static laden, screechy speaker. She further observed that although unexplained static did periodically come out of that speaker she had never heard it so loud before.

Brad got up on a ladder to see if he could determine if the speaker was wired or not. At that point the noise got much louder and persistent. It reduced and then stopped when Brad climbed down and the crew left the ballroom.

I was somewhat surprised to find that the ghost of the old theatre manager I first saw on the Ghost Adventures episode at the Birdcage Theatre was the one behind the static, screeching speaker during the Ghost Lab investigation. He was even more territorial this time around. He was wearing the same outfit I saw him in the first time featuring a gorgeous black silk vest with silver embroidery. He told me his name was Antonio, which was confirmation of my original impression that he was Italian.
